India Squad for Hong Kong Sixes 2026
India are back at the Hong Kong Sixes with a seven-player squad, and Krunal Pandya is the captain after an earlier change.
The squad
India's squad is Krunal Pandya (captain), Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, T Natarajan and Kulwant Khejroliya. Most of the group have played in the IPL.
The captaincy change
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was first named captain. He was then called up for the New Zealand series, so Krunal Pandya took over and Kulwant Khejroliya came into the squad as the replacement.
Group C
India are in Group C with Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. India v Pakistan is on 30 October at 06:15 UTC, which is 11:45 am in India and 11:15 am in Pakistan.
Why the squad suits the format
Six-over cricket rewards players who score from the first ball and bowl accurately under pressure. Tewatia, Shashank Singh and Rana are known for fast scoring in the IPL, and Natarajan is known for yorkers at the end of an innings, so the mix covers batting and bowling.
Where to watch in India
FanCode is reported to be the digital home of the Hong Kong Sixes in India. For a free score page on your phone, open the India match pages on Crease for the live scorecard and result.
The Pakistan match
Pakistan are the defending champions, so India start as the side with something to prove. Net run rate can decide who goes through, so winning big against the weaker side can matter as much as the Pakistan result.
