Hong Kong Sixes 2026: Groups, Schedule and Live Scores
The Hong Kong Sixes is back, with 12 teams playing six-a-side cricket in six-over innings. Here are the groups, today's fixtures and how to follow each match as it happens.
The format in one minute
Each side has six players and each innings lasts six overs, so a match is over in well under an hour. Twelve men's teams are split into four groups of three. Reports say group winners go into the Cup semi-finals, second-placed teams into the Plate and third-placed teams into the Bowl. The event is played at Mong Kok in Kowloon from 30 October, and outlets differ on whether the final day is 1 or 2 November.
The four groups
Group A: Hong Kong, Australia, England. Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Sri Lanka. Group C: Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, India. Group D: Oman, South Africa, Afghanistan. Pakistan are the defending champions.
Opening day fixtures (Pakistan time)
5:45 am Hong Kong v Australia. 6:40 am Bangladesh v Scotland. 7:35 am Pakistan v United Arab Emirates. 8:30 am Oman v South Africa. 9:25 am Hong Kong v England. 10:20 am Bangladesh v Sri Lanka. 11:15 am India v Pakistan. 12:10 pm Afghanistan v South Africa. 1:05 pm Australia v England. Add 3 hours to get Hong Kong time, as it is UTC+8 and Pakistan is UTC+5.
Why the matches are fast
With only six overs, one big over can decide a game. Teams often send their hardest hitters first and every ball counts for net run rate, so check the margin as well as the result when groups are close.
