Hong Kong Sixes Group C: Pakistan, India and UAE
Group C is the one everyone is watching at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026. It holds Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates.
The three teams
Pakistan are the defending champions and are led by Abbas Afridi. India are led by Krunal Pandya and have a squad of IPL players. The United Arab Emirates complete the group.
How qualification works
With 12 teams in four groups of three, the group winners are reported to go to the Cup semi-finals, the second placed teams to the Plate semi-finals and the third placed teams to the Bowl. A group of three means two matches per team, so one loss can end a Cup chance.
Net run rate
If two teams finish level on wins, net run rate decides. In a six-over game it is runs scored per over minus runs conceded per over. Chasing a target in four overs helps a team more than a narrow last-ball win.
What each side needs
Pakistan need to protect their title by winning both games. India need to beat Pakistan or win by a big margin against the UAE. The UAE can upset the group if they beat either rival, because one big over decides a six-over game.
Key fixtures
Pakistan v UAE is at 02:35 UTC (7:35 am in Pakistan). India v Pakistan is at 06:15 UTC (11:15 am in Pakistan and 11:45 am in India). Both are on opening day, 30 October.
